RECOM R05CT05S Series Medical Regulatory DC/DC Converters

It is packaged in a true SMT IC and can be handled and placed like any other surface mount device. The R05CT05S has a nominal 5V input (4.5–5.5V) and provides a fully regulated low noise output. The output can be set to 3.3 or 5VDC with a resistor to connect directly to the load, or set to 3.7 or 5.4VDC in ultra-low noise applications to power a downstream LDO.



The converter requires only convection cooling to provide full-load output power over a temperature range of -40°C to +55°C and still deliver 80% power at 110°C. Operating temperature up to 140°C.


R05CT05S has market-leading super isolation 5kVAC/1min, UL/IEC/EN 62368-1 reinforced/800VAC and IEC/EN-60601-1 2MOPP/250VAC isolation level, suitable for medical grade applications below 5000 meters above sea level.
